SPIRIT OF NORTH TYNESIDE AWARD 2021
Tin On A Wall has been awarded Spirit of North Tyneside Award 2021 for "Caring for people in your community". The award was presented by Robin Fry the Chief Executive of VODA. This is our second Spirit of North Tyneside Award, the last was for 2020. Jessica Dickinson, Customer First Officer from North Tyneside Council said we were nominated because of all the wonderful work we have done.
"I'm very proud of what we have achieved since July 2020 and the impact we have had in supporting various charities and community groups within North Tyneside. Many of which rely on our donations to keep their doors open to those living on the breadline, those suggling to feed their families, for so many different reasons.
To all our volunteers, I can't thank you enough.....without your continued enthusiasm and commitment each month there would be no collection and no food. We collected just under 10 ton for Cedarwood Trust in 2021 alone, based on this I'm guessing we collected over 50 ton last year......possibly 70 plus since we started!!!!!! How many families have benefited???? Also to our printers Thornton Print in Benton, with no means to fund, without them we would have no leaflets, so very thankful to them."
